Following lengthy inspections conducted at the Levate (Italy) production site, encompassing various parts of the organization, the internationally-respected French certification body Bureau Veritas announced that SABO had met the requirements for its new certification, in line with ISO standards on management systems (High-Level Structure).
From the capacity of the management system to the management review process, from the improvement plan to the effectiveness of the corrective measures implemented, SABO’s Quality and Security System was assessed as sound and well managed, fully able to satisfy the prerequisites and results required for the FAMI-QS certification.
In practical terms, adoption of the new version 6 of the code will help SABO define the activities necessary for preventing food fraud and defending the integrity of animal feed.
