Personal Care: EFfCI GMP certification renewed

At SABO, compliance remains a constant

We are very pleased to announce that as validation of the continuous efforts to respect and to meet the industry’s standards, SABO has had its EFfCI GMP certification renewed for three years, in recognition of its compliance in the production of cosmetic ingredients.

In November 2020, the certifying body – the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS) – after carrying out the necessary checks of the production of cosmetic ingredients at the Levate site, agreed to renew SABO’s certification.

The EFfCI(European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients) checks confirmed the compliance with the mandatory requirements, excellent management control of product batches and the capacity to react in simulated emergencies.

Why is EFfCI GMP certification important?

Renewal of the EFfCI GMP certification is therefore a guarantee that SABO is fully compliant with the Guidelines for the application of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in the production of cosmetic ingredients, and ensures and confirms, in particular, that:

• the raw materials intended for the production of cosmetic products meet the requested requirements
• the production of cosmetic ingredients is conducted under conditions that guarantee the product’s compliance with the specifications agreed with the customer.

Renewal of this certification proves SABO’s focus on the safety and quality of its Personal Care processes and its strict production standards, a modus operandi that characterises all its activities.
